💡 Pearson Scoring Secrets for Summarize Spoken Text

Strict 50–70 Word Requirement

Pearson awards full 2 marks for Form only between 50 and 70 words. Anything below 40 or over 100 words scores 0 for Form and automatically damages Content marks. Aim for 55–65 words.

Single or Multi-Sentence Allowed

Unlike Summarize Written Text (SWT) which strictly demands a single sentence, SST allows standard paragraphs of 2–3 grammatically well-formed sentences separated by periods.

Content Trait Rules All

If your Content score is 0 (missing the lecture topic entirely), Pearson zeroes out the entire question score. Always capture key nouns and the lecturer's primary conclusion.
